The service

Flintwell Heating operates a network that matches heating jobs to qualified independent engineers. Your contract for the work itself is with the engineer or their firm; our role is verification, matching and holding partners to the published standards. Prices are agreed between you and the engineer before work starts — that agreement, not this page, governs the job.

Guides, codes & pricing information

Guide content, error-code explanations and price bands are honest general guidance for UK homes, not a survey of your property, and indicative ranges are not quotes. Error code meanings vary between manufacturers and model generations — always check your appliance manual. Homeowner steps described anywhere on this site are limited to work outside the appliance casing; gas work is legally restricted to Gas Safe registered engineers, and nothing here should be read as encouragement to do otherwise. Grant amounts and scheme rules change: verify current figures with your installer and the relevant government source.

Liability & scope

Engineers carry their own public liability insurance, which is where workmanship claims sit. We accept liability for our own service (verification, matching, this site) to the extent the law requires and no further; nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
