Heating Engineers in Cardiff

Prices agreed before work startsGas Safe registered for every gas jobMCS certified for heat pumpsNo-heat emergencies prioritised

Boilers don't fail at convenient moments, which is why our Cardiff network runs a proper emergency rota through the heating season. Gas Safe engineers cover the whole city for repairs, servicing, radiators, powerflushing and new installations — with clear pricing before any tool comes out.

Legally required: only Gas Safe registered engineers may work on gas appliances in the UK, and Gas heating work in Cardiff is no exception. Every engineer carries a photo ID card you can check against the Gas Safe Register on the doorstep — ours expect to be asked, and we verify registration before assigning any job.
Cardiff heating notes: Cardiff's Welsh Water supply from Brecon Beacons reservoirs is soft — scale is a minor player, and the city's heating and hot-water work leans toward Victorian terrace pipework and the huge Cardiff Bay apartment stock. Cardiff's terraces in Roath, Canton and Grangetown carry classic Edwardian heating and hot-water layouts, while Cardiff Bay and the city centre have added thousands of flats with communal risers and boosted mains. Mains supply here is managed by Welsh Water.

Frequently asked questions

Do you fit new boilers and full central heating systems?

Both — from a like-for-like combi swap to a designed whole-house system with room-by-room heat-loss calculations. Every installation is Gas Safe notified, commissioned with the benchmark record completed, and warrantied.

What should I do if my boiler stops working?

Run the safe checks first: thermostat and programmer, gas at other appliances, pressure gauge (top up via the filling loop if low), and in freezing weather the external condensate pipe. Then one reset. Our no-heating guide covers all eight checks in order.

Do you install heat pumps in Cardiff?

Yes — through MCS-certified installers, which is both the quality standard and the requirement for Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant support. Every heat pump quote starts with a room-by-room heat-loss survey rather than a guess.

What if I smell gas?

Leave the property, don't touch electrical switches, and call the National Gas Emergency Service free on 0800 111 999 immediately. That call comes before any repair booking — once the property is made safe, we can arrange the follow-up repair.

Is hard water a problem for boilers in Cardiff?

Cardiff's Welsh Water supply from Brecon Beacons reservoirs is soft — scale is a minor player, and the city's heating and hot-water work leans toward Victorian terrace pipework and the huge Cardiff Bay apartment stock. Where the water is hard, scale protection on the boiler's supply and properly inhibited system water are what keep heat exchangers alive — and our engineers advise on both as part of servicing and installation.
